Shield & Medal Winners

Shows > 2010

If you win a shield at a show, please be sure to complete the form on the day and return in to the CHS Secretary.

The CHS shield is awarded to the best yearling or two year old colt or filly at affiliated shows. Shields can only be awarded to current members of the Clydesdale Horse Society and can only be won once by any individual horse.

Medal winners in Young Handlers. The majority of our affiliated shows run a young handler's class and the winner qualifies for the finals, except when he/she has already qualified, in that case, the next in line is awarded the qualification.

Medal winners in 2010 have qualified for the Young Handler Final to be held at the Royal Highland Show in 2011.
